Spring
A Poem
Spring In nature's dance, will you recall my name, As frost gives way to warmth's inviting glow? Amidst rebirth, remember whence I came. Beneath the thaw, remnants of chill remain, Where once the icy grip held firm, you know. In nature's dance, will you recall my name? As life awakens from its wintry frame, Do echoes linger of the cold and snow? Amidst rebirth, remember whence I came. The melody of change, a subtle claim, Each thawing bud a tale of long ago. In nature's dance, will you recall my name? Though seasons shift, can memories reclaim The essence of the past, a bittersweet tableau? Amidst rebirth, remember whence I came. As petals bloom, and time remains the same, In every whisper of the wind that blows, In nature's dance, will you recall my name? Amidst rebirth, remember whence I came.
May is solidly spring in Vermont. Everything is in bloom and oh the allergies! But also newborn lambs and fox cubs!!
(my neighbor took this photo - the den is in our neighborhood and the cubs are adorable)
Anyway, in addition to being terrible at social media, it appears I’m also terrible at newslettering. It’s been months since I last wrote here. Life’s been busy. I finished my manuscript and went through several rounds of editing. I sent out queries. Currently working on an R&R but I also have a full out with an agent based on the original version I queried. It’s all one big waiting game. And lots and lots of “no”s.
